Beyond The Battlebox - Where The F**k Have I Been?

Hello everyone, and welcome back to "This Old Blog" with Yin Yang! Today we'll be picking which funeral home rug matches these curtains we stole from a hospital while Tim Silva drools over lamps. Jokes aside, it's been nearly a year since the last Beyond The Battlebox entry, and I'm pretty sure it has slipped the minds of every fan (yes both of you) since then. So, I guess I have some explaining to do. So, Yin:

Where The Fuck Have You Been?

I guess that's the question. The truth is: I never really left. I've never stopped being active in the community, whether it's the occasional shitposts on r/Battlebots or hanging out in a couple different Discords. Beyond The Battlebox just sort of slipped my mind after a while gone.

The last time I updated this, the world was a wild one, huh? There was some weird ass virus going around, America had a glazed ham as a President, and the biggest star in robot combat was a rejected entry into Robot Wars '95. This is, of course, opposed to now, where there's still the weird virus, we've replaced the ham with a sentient Ronald Reagan piggy bank, and the biggest star in robot combat is still Rusty.

I guess too much hasn't changed around us, but unfortunately the biggest changes were what has stopped this blog. My depression has been beating my ass harder than Pete Lambertson beating some random Middleweight hopeful with the Pulverizer. It isn't constant depression at least, but when it hits, it hits hard.

But something else has changed, I've gained a lot of friends in the last year. Ones I will never forget and cannot live without. To them, thank you. So, with Battlebots 2021 on the horizon, the flux capacitor fully charged, and World Peace ready to hit 88 miles-per-hour once more, I think it's time.

To those who remembered, I love you. To those who wouldn't let me forget, I thank you. And to those I haven't met yet, I can't wait. Very soon, we leave 2021 behind.

The box is locked, the lights are on, it's time to return to 1999. And I cannot wait to be back.

This has been Yin Yang, and until next time, farewell.

No specific reason for World Peace, he's just the best boi and I needed a photo for the blog preview.
